For most people, holiday weekends mean beach trips, BBQs and relaxing with family and friends. Then there is me and other theme park employees that know holiday weekends always mean crowds and long days. As Memorial Day Weekend is the unofficial start of summer and first busy weekend at work of the summer, I tried to mentally brace myself for the weekend. It wasn’t horrible but definitely had some minor bumps in the road.
Not many other people can say that they worked over 30 hours in four days, helped fix a network crash, made over $2,000 dollars selling photos and survived a busy day of about 13,000 guests. But I can. While Sesame can be stressful and crazy, I love closing firework nights and working with my best friends.
